My research focuses on improving the quality of patient care and fostering a strong research culture among junior doctors and medical students. I supervise small, practice-oriented projects that often lead to tangible improvements—such as updated clinical guidelines or optimized workflows. The aim is to make research a natural part of everyday clinical work, while strengthening the link between learning and real-world patient benefit.

Profile

Head of Research and Consultant Surgeon at Gødstrup Regional Hospital with a focus on surgery, quality improvement, and education. I am passionate about engaging junior doctors and medical students in research and clinical development, where professional growth and patient-centered value go hand in hand. With a practical and supportive approach to learning, I help create opportunities for both academic and clinical advancement.

Teaching

Regional Lead for Postgraduate Clinical Education in Surgery, dedicated to improving surgical education nationally and regionally. Additionally, I teach on the national program for endoscoping nurses and at the Academy for Colonoscopists. As an expert in colonoscopy, I believe everyone can improve with the right guidance — and I’m passionate about helping them do so.
