I lead a translational research program focused on gastrointestinal cancer, investigating the biological mechanisms underlying disease progression and treatment response. My research group is dedicated to the development of biomarkers and the clinical implementation of liquid biopsy technologies, particularly circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA). We conduct prospective biobank studies and interventional trials aimed at identifying and validating biomarkers that can guide personalized treatment decisions.
Job responsibilities
Mit primære ansvarsområde er forskning, herunder uddannelse af Bachelor, Master, og PHD studerende. Jeg varetager daglig forskningsledelse, vejledning af yngre forskere og udvikling af forskningsprojekter i samarbejde med nationale og internationale partnere. Jeg er PI på nationale kliniske forsøg og deltager i store europæiske forskningsprojekter financieret af EU, feks. GUIDE.MRD (https://www.guidemrd-horizon.eu/).
Jeg er leder af det Nationale Kræftforsknings center "THE DANISH NATIONAL CENTER FOR CIRCULATING TUMOR DNA GUIDED CANCER TREATMENT"(ctDNA.dk).
