Personal profile

Research

I study ballistics, with a special focus on wound ballistics. My research helps the Danish Police and forensic institutes understand how gunshots and projectiles affect the body.

Profile

As a forensic pathologist, I have a keen interest in ballistics and gunshot wounds. My work mainly involves clinical forensic medicine, autopsies, and teaching. I have a military background and have previously been deployed with the Armed Forces

Commissioned

Based on my research in ballistics, I advise the Police Ammunition Group on the selection of new service ammunition. I also serve on the board of the Danish Society of Forensic Medicine.

Cooperation and dissemination

I work with the Armed Forces Medical Command on forensic medicine and handling the deceased in international missions. We ensure that the quality of the investigations is at the same level as similar investigations in Denmark.

Teaching

I teach inquest in the master's program of medical studies. My goal is to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to handle deaths correctly and preserve important evidence for the police. I have also helped develop teaching materials in clinical forensic medicine and worked on police reports.
