Personal profile

Profile

I investigate the effects of time-restricted eating (a form of intermittent fasting) on cardiometabolic health, with a particular focus on cardiac perfusion, insulin sensitivity, and autophagy.
Using total-body PET/CT (LAFOV), I study cardiometabolic adaptations in the heart and skeletal muscle, including ketone uptake and metabolic flexibility.

Job responsibilities

My primary responsibility is research in cardiometabolic health, including the effects of time-restricted eating on cardiac perfusion, insulin sensitivity, and autophagy.

I work with quantitative imaging based on total-body PET/CT (LAFOV), as well as molecular and metabolic markers in the heart and skeletal muscle, and epigenetic analyses in peripheral tissues. I also contribute to interdisciplinary collaborations within clinical metabolism and lifestyle intervention research.
