Dr. Arif received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan in 2005 and worked as Process Engineer at Bestway cement company for four years. He entered the school of Chemical Engineering at Karlstad University Sweden for his Masters in 2009. He joined the Department of Chemical Engineering as a lecturer at COMSATS University Pakistan in 2012 and was assigned to teach several courses to students of Chemical Engineering. In 2015, he went to pursue his doctoral studies in Chemical Engineering from Process System Design and Control Laboratory, Yeungnam University, South Korea. He rejoined the department of Chemical Engineering at COMSATS in 2019.
Dr. Arif has broad interests in process modeling and simulation, particularly the use of multifunctional reactors for process intensification. He has been working in the area of process design at both industrial and academic research level
