Profile

Arezoo Taghizadeh-Toosi  received her bachelor and master degrees in soil science from Tehran University. She completed her Ph.D. in Soil & Physical Sciences Department of Lincoln University, New Zealand. After her Ph.D., she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Landcare Research in Christchurch and Palmerston North, New Zealand. During her stay in New Zealand, she worked on ammonia and nitrous oxide emissions from soils under ruminant urine patches and the effects of biochar amendment on those emissions and plant nitrogen uptake. After moving to Denmark, she started to work as a postdoc at Aarhus University. She has been responsible for soil carbon monitoring network and soil organic carbon modelling activities in Denmark. She was also involved in the project that monitors the sources of nitrous oxide emissions from Danish arable organic soils from 2014 til 2017. She contributed to teaching activities in Aarhus and China (SDC) for five years. Currently, she is a research scientist at Soil Fertility section, Department of Agroecology, Aarhus University, working on C and N turnover.
