Research

My research takes place within the fields of public administration, public management, and leadership. Specifically, I have conducted research focusing on public service motivation, public values, professionalism, public/private differences in employee motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment within health-, education-, and social services. Currently, I am undertaking research in distributed leadership, change management, and collaborative types of governance as well as research in professional learning communities in public schools. Methodologically, I have a very broad profile conducting and publishing both qualitative, quantitative, experimental, and mixed methods studies.
