Personal profile

Research

My primary research area is the reduction of methane emissions from cattle and horses.
The research work includes responsibility for quantifying methane output using methane chambers, conducting experiments with various feeding strategies and feed additives, as well as data collection and model calculations.
The focus is on the interaction between nutrition, methane emissions, production parameters, digestibility, rumen function, energy and protein metabolism, and nutritional physiological mechanisms. I am also responsible for the models and calculations that form the basis of the Danish standards for the content of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) in livestock manure.
