Anne Maj Nielsens' research integrates social, personality and developmental psychology and phenomenology approaches. She has investigated symbolic meanings of identity formation articulated in children’s drawings and other articulations in ECEC, preschool and school; Social inequality and processes promoting social equity in school; Relational competence in teacher education; Contemplative practices in school experienced by children and young people; and Aesthetic Learning in Daycare and School.research integrates social, personality and developmental psychology and phenomenology approaches.
