Research Interests 

I love the challenge of understanding and explaining how IT helps organisations to move forward. Over time I have become convinced that the strategic aspects of this challenge are inseparable from the day to day routines and idiosyncratic behaviours of people with technology. My research tries to go through the main muscle and tackles both: IT Strategy and work with IT. 

I also love to make a difference: Translating research output into practical value for businesses has been a constant interest for me. One way of doing this - for me the best way - is through education. In my capacity as Director of the Master in IT at the School of Business and Social Science I work exactly on translating research results into teaching experiences. I try to create a space where research meets and confront practice. 

I am currently participating in a major research initiative to investigate the impact of IT knowledge and digitized platform maturity on the performance of Danish SMEs. This study is conducted for the European Commission in collaboration with Nils Fonstad at INSEAD and other European universities.
