Profile
Ana Burcharth is a Visiting Associate Professor at the Department of Management of the School of Business and Social Sciences, Aarhus University. Besides, she holds a position as Associate Professor at FDC, Brazil.
Ana Burcharth is a researcher, lecturer and consultant in the fields of innovation management and strategy. She is very passionate about innovation: she sees it as a means of improving the competitiveness of organizations, which ultimately leads to increased economic development and social welfare.
Her research interests focus one the development of technological innovations that shape our lives through new products and services. She is particularly interested in how companies collaborate with other organizations to discover and implement new ideas. The topics she is currently working on are open innovation, entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer.
Regarding teaching activities, Ana Burcharth has experience lecturing at bachelor, master and executive levels in topics concerning innovation management and strategy. She works also with large corporations and medium-sized companies helping them become more innovative.
Ana was awarded a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Aarhus University in 2011. Before that, she studied at University Carlos III of Madrid (visiting), Aalborg University (M.Sc. Knowledge, Innovation and Economic Dynamics), University of Nottingham (visiting) and Federal University of Minas Gerais (BA Economics).
