Personal profile

Research

My central research areas are children, adolescents, and ‘the family’ as consumers, social marketing, consumer socialisation, intergenerational relations, and the transmission of consumer behaviour. Related areas of interest include  ‘nudging’, social norms, values, consumer identity, and behavioural change strategies. My research is centered around sustainability and health, and often mixed methods approaches are used.

Commissioned

I have experience in contributing to research-based input to public policy through project management and research supervision on commissioned reports prepared for the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries. Experience as member of advisory boards at international research projects.

Teaching

I have experience at all levels of university teaching, including bachelor's and master's studies in business economics (qualitative research methods, social marketing), PhD courses (mixed methods), diploma (HD-Executive Education, marketing), and MBA programs (methods). I also supervise bachelor's and master's theses, internships, and PhD dissertations and occasionally serve as external examiner at other Danish universities.
