Personal profile

Research

Utilizes advanced clinical neurophysiological methods with a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral neuropathy, as well as the underlying mechanisms.

Recent research has centered on nerve excitability in C-nociceptors using microneurography. The aim is to identify biomarkers of neuropathic pain for improved diagnosis of small fiber neuropathy and to evaluate treatment effects.

Teaching

I teach various professional groups (including perfusionists and engineers of healthcare technology) in clinical neurophysiology, with a focus on understanding the overarching concepts behind the examinations and their application in diagnostics.

In my teaching, I aim to refer to commonly known examples and build knowledge from there.
