Personal profile

Profile

I am a physician-scientist with a track record of providing Scientific Leadership in translational research within the field of Neurobiology of Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. I possess an international research profile, with significant mobility: PhD in Neuroscience from EPFL Switzerland, 5 years postdoctoral experience from UBC Canada, and independent Research experience at AU Denmark since 2017. Throughout my academic tenures, I have proactively led scientific ideation, independent planning of research activities and portfolio of scientific communication/dissemination tasks, as reflected by a publication record involving several international collaborations. I am motivated to lead impactful initiatives in research applied to neurodegeneration and aim to advance my vision in refinements in experimental models for disease symptomatology, as well as establish their utility for the discovery of mechanism-based therapies towards addressing these unmet medical needs
