Personal profile
Research
I study how healthcare systems function in practice, focusing on how professionals collaborate, how interventions are implemented, and how digital health solutions shape care delivery.
Using mixed-methods research I aim to uncover mechanisms that improve collaboration and strengthen interventions. My research helps healthcare professionals, decision-makers, and researchers develop more effective policies and practices that support sustainable and equitable healthcare.
Profile
As a public health sociologist, I study how healthcare professionals collaborate, how organizations shape their work—and how they, in turn, shape organizations—and how interventions influence health and social outcomes. My research focuses on interprofessional collaboration, healthcare organization, and digital health technologies. I have a background in sociology and public health and experience with mixed-methods research, policy analysis, teaching, and supervision.
Cooperation and dissemination
I collaborate with researchers from Aarhus University, the University of Copenhagen, the University of Toronto, the University of Malawi, the University of Sydney, and the University of Melbourne on projects related to healthcare organization, interprofessional collaboration, and digital health interventions.
The goal is to generate evidence that improves healthcare delivery, strengthens professional collaboration, and informs policy on digital health solutions and health inequalities across different healthcare contexts.
Teaching
I teach organizational change processes in public health in the public health programme. Previously, I taught health behavior and personality for public health, medicine, and odontology.
Using interactive lectures, case-based learning, and discussions, my goal is for students to apply theory to analyze health behavior and organizational change.
I have also contributed to the development of teaching materials and exam formats.
Job responsibilities
I primarily work with healthcare organization and professional collaboration, exploring how structural and contextual factors influence healthcare delivery and professional and organizational practices. My expertise includes organizational sociology, institutional theory, implementation science, and interprofessional care. I also contribute to teaching, supervision, peer reviewing, and register-based studies on health and policy impact.
