Chairman of the Danish Bladder Cancer Group (DMCG) and the Nordic Urothelial Cancer Research Group and member of the European Association of Urology Guideline Panels.
Focus in clinical studies on all aspects of bladder cancer patients from diagnosis, treatment and follow-up to development of more gentle and effective operating methods and rehabilitation after major surgery.
Among the most clinically relevant research findings are mapping of potential oncological benefit of lymph node removal in urinary bladder cancer surgery, development of new methods for monitoring treatment effect and recurrence of bladder cancer, introduction of minimal invasive surgical techniques and introducing new innovative imaging tools in the diagnosis of bladder tumors.
