This course will introduce students to neuroscience, giving them a practical understanding of how they can use research from the field to solve dilemmas and challenges they will face as business executives in real-world organisations. After completing the course, students will be familiar with state-of-the-art neuroscientific methods such as fMRI as well as biometric tools accessible to practitioners (including eye-tracking, EEG, GSR, cardiac data) as well as their limitations. Finally, the course will establish strong ties to methods courses and philosophy of science by helping students understand the value of triangulation with more commonly used research methods, when neuroscientific methods might be appropriate for answering research questions, and when they are not.
