Tzu-Hsin Karen Chen - Lecturer

Satellite data is an increasingly used data source that can provide historical information of urban boundary, density, and configuration. The uses of satellite data bring opportunities for exploring urban resilience in an empirical and consistent way, which can support evidence-based urban planning. This talk will provide an overview of a range of satellite data useful for urban studies at different spatial and temporal scales.

The SGA seminar, Integrated and spatial modelling for environmental management, is centred around methods and approaches to integrate different types of data and information in a spatial and temporal context. This presentation will give an introduction to the SGA and a general overview of spatial data.
