Description

A one-day seminar, one of the NACS Seminar Series in 2000, with the title and theme of Atlantic Canada. My seminar paper was entitled 'Winter in my Blood: The Band's "Acadian Driftwood",' which explored how a mid-1970s song by a highly regarded Canadian-American group articulated the mid-18th century expulsion of Acadians from Nova Scotia by the British imperial authorities and the subsequent migration of many of them to French colonial Louisiana.
