C3NET – the Climate | Culture | Catastrophe Network – brings together scholars concerned with the human impacts of climate change and extreme environmental events in the past as well as in the present and future. C3NET is interdisciplinary and rooted in the Humanities. In order to further awareness of the relationship between humans, societies and environments, we invite to an intimate and interdisciplinary one-day mini-symposium on the Environmental Humanities. With eminent keynote speakers Professors Carole Crumley and Steven Hartmann, this mini-symposium will showcase perspectives from the human and social sciences on the predicaments of climate, climate change and the environment on the eve of the COP21 Paris Climate Conference.
