The social philosophy of Harré as a philosophy of culture

The chapter reconstructs main features of Harré´s social philosophy in order to present this as a philosophy of culture. The reconstruction involves features of Harré´s natural philosophy. It shows how key notions in Harré, such as the sense of self and grammar, relate to a cultural understanding of the individuality of people. Finally, the chapter explain the sense in which Harré s social philosophy expresses a “critique of culture”
