Abstract
As a result of the fast development of technologies and diversity of requirements, complexity exists not only in a system itself but also in the development process and environment. The complexity in the development process comes from specialization and concurrency, and a Digital Twin (DT) has the potential to mitigate these issues. We hope, during the process of building a DT, the accidental complexity can be minimized by application of model-based systems engineering and the Multi-Paradigm Modeling (MPM). In this paper, we give an example of the process of building a DT combined with a process model. Our long term goal is to model the development of various DTs to identify the commonalities and variations across multiple DTs.
