Comment expliquer la timide mobilisation de la jeunesse africaine pour le climat ?

Publikation: Bidrag til tidsskrift/Konferencebidrag i tidsskrift /Bidrag til avisTidsskriftartikelForskning

This short article establishes that, contrary to some scholars, African children and young people are marching, albeit timidly, for climate change. Young Africans, therefore, are embracing the School Strikes for Climate or the Youth Climate Movement. The article proceeds to account for their timid mobilisation with emphasis on two factors: repression from dictatorial regimes in Africa and the underestimation of children's voices in some decision-making processes on the African continent - as exemplified in some literary texts from the Congo Basin.
