LA BIERE DU PECHER, Rien va and Des mois – that is Tommaso Landolfi ’s so called diaries– are emblematic examples of the hybrid nature of Landolfi ’s writing with its delicate equilibrium between fiction and essay, myth-making and self-commentary. After a brief theoretical excursus on autobiographical writing, this paper especially focuses on two elements that appear a constant throughout Landolfi ’s entire literary production, of special significance to the diaries : the peculiar nature of the autobiographical dimension (or his autobiografismo), combined with a kind of modern ‘self-reflexivity’, as defined by sociologists as Anthony Giddens and Ulrik Beck.
