Implementation of AI based Clinical Decision Support in and across the health care sector

Several AI models have been developed to assist healthcare professionals in improving diagnosis, triaging patients to the best possible treatment at the most favourable prize, and in predicting e.g. illness deterioration. Uptake of AI based tools in clinical practice is however extremely rare and implementation challenges are both multiple and complex. This has severe consequences for the economy, for the quality of care and for patient safety. The aim is to qualify implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) based technological innovations in and across the healthcare sector by exploring the organisational and cultural factors that influence AI implementation and whether and how AI transforms professional identities, organisation of work routines, and patient care.
