IGNITE. Design Thinking and Making the the Arts and Sciences

IGNITE is an EU-funded initiative that unites academic institutions and creative industry partners from three countries to create an open-source, online course to be delivered via the #dariahTeach platform. The IGNITE project will develop a 20 ECTS course entitled ‘Design Thinking & Making in the Arts and Sciences’, divided into 5 ECTS units which can be taken together or independently. It will be taught within Masters programmes at Aarhus (Denmark) and Maastricht (The Netherlands) Universities. Beginning in spring 2019, the consortium will be inviting people to take the units online and in F2F focus groups. In spring 2020 the project will host a final dissemination event and masterclass in Vienna.The IGNITE project is funded by Horizon 2020 through Connect 2017 under the auspices of the Media Policy, Audiovisual Industry and Media Support Programme.IGNITE brings together researchers and design professionals from four institutions in three countries with expertise in design theory and practice, online education, digital humanities and cultural heritage.
