Beskrivelse
The purpose of this project was to assess the damage mechanism of high frequency mechanical
impact treatment of welded joints for lightweight design.
The project was granted after I started to work at Chalmers in February 2016. I have declined the
grant due to the new working place since the Academy of Finland funds only Finnish Institutions
for this type of grant. The project host was Aalto University in Finland and included cooperation
with EPFL in Switzerland, The Institut Laue-Langevin- ILL and SONATS in France, and Meyer Turku
Shipyard in Finland.
