Beskrivelse

The purpose is to describe why and how to make air quality assessment related to environmental impact assessment (EIA) for motorways and other major roads. A guidance report will be prepared to support professionals working with air quality assessment for major roads. The guidance report will be based on experiences from previously conducted air quality assessments in EIAs: Odense South, 3rd Limfjord Crossing and Route 26 Aarhus - Viborg. The guidance report will describe the general issues and methodological and data choices for air quality assessments. The guidance report will also be able to serve as a screening guidance e.g. for assessment of the impact of noise barriers on air quality and the impact of nitrogen deposition to sensitive natural areas. Project period September 2011 to April 2012. Carried out for the Danish Road Directorate.
