Et Nordplus projekt om udvikling af digitale medier i børnehaven i de nordiske lande.

Project summary
At the core of our interest in the CHILDICT-network is the coming of the learning mandate and due formal
educational planning ("curriculum") to kindergartens in the context of early literacy learning (playful
writing, reading) and the use of ICT. The CHILDICT-network is build around three main elements: a
workshop, a survey and an open seminar/conference. The focus in the joint workshop is on exchange of
practical experiences within the network thematic. The Nordic-Baltic survey will be targeted to
kindergartens and municipal authorities. The key questions in the survey/network are: (i) the extent of
formalization of the “kindergarten curriculums”, (ii) their status in terms of policies, attitudes and practice in
the area of language learning and use of ICT, and (iii) the extent to which the staff competence in
kindergartens is an issue in this regards. Based on the findings from the survey, a Nordic-Baltic seminar
will be organized jointly with all partners. The seminar will be also open to interested participants from
outside the network. Partners from kindergartens and public authorities’ representatives will also present
their “best practice” in the seminar. The main expected outcomes from the work are learning from each
other through exchange of experiences, new knowledge from on this politically actual issue in the Nordic-
Baltic countries, and expanding networks among partners. The results of the network will be disseminated
via websites, a report and an article.
