The project will join researchers with end-users and stakeholders in a concerted action to address the key issues identified by EU Pesticide Risk Assessment workshop (EUPRA). The EUPRA workshop concluded that probabilistic methods would provide important tools for pesticide risk assessment, provided they were implemented appropriately. The proposed project will directly address the workshops primary recommendations. They include the development of essentialmethods and data for probabilistic assessments; the establishment of a framework of guidance on how to use probabilistic methods and communicate the results; measures to facilitate the uptake of probabilistic methods by end users; and procedures for peer review of assessments. The project will provide a harmonised framework for the appropriate use of probabilistic methods of pesticide risk assessment in the EU.
