The objective of this study is to have a comprehensive understanding of the concept of quality of premium beef products in the whole value chain. A well-functioning value chain requires that all actors in the chain have a common understanding of the quality characteristics needed to satisfy consumer demand, and that production and process characteristics play together in order to create value for the consumer. Therefore, the optimization of value chain communication with reference to quality will be in focus in this research.
