    Beskrivelse

The idea with the AU ideas pilot center is to conduct outstanding research within health education, health promotion and education for sustainable development in schools. The focus is to develop innovative approaches to examining the competences that future generations need in order to participate competently in addressing the challenges related to health and sustainability, in the context of uncertain knowledge and high levels of complexity.

In particular, the center generates evidence-based and theory-informed knowledge about the trajectories of transformation taking place when political intentions and targets for health education and education for sustainable development are being translated into school curricula and practice.

The research uses both qualitative and quantitative methods and draws on critical education theories as well as theories of social and organizational learning.
