The Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) is a UNESCO Category 2 Centre established in 2000 by the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Korea and UNESCO in order to promote Education for International Understanding (EIU) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) globally. The EIU/GCED Best Practices aim to encourage educators, scholars and activists to implement programmes by collecting and sharing success stories in different social and cultural contexts. This mission has been reaffirmed by the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Education 2030.
