In Baars’ discipline of Experimental Fluids and Aeroacoustics, we study physical and engineering aspects of flow-induced noise (e.g. jet noise, airfoil noise, boundary layer noise), turbulence in fluid mechanics applications (wall-bounded turbulence of internal and external flows, atmospheric boundary layers), experimental techniques in fluids & acoustics and a wide variety of data analysis methods.
