Academic training and degrees

1998-2001 Postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Michael Rosbash, HHMI, Brandeis University.  Fellowships from Carlsberg, Leo Nielsen and Løvens Kemiske foundations.

1997-1998 Short term postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Marie-Louise Hammarskjold, University of Virginia. Fellowship from Karen Elise Jensen foundation.

1993–1997 Ph.D. with Prof. Jørgen Kjems, Faculty of Science, MBG, AU. Full fellowship from the Faculty of Science.

2007-2010 Coordinator of the European Research Foundation sponsored research network: “Nuclear RNA surveillance of genome expression: From yeast to mammals (NuRNASu)” under the EUROCORES “RNA Quality” program. Joined by seven other top European RNA Quality research laboratories.

2005-2015 Director of the centre of excellence: ”Centre for mRNP Biogenesis and Metabolism”, presently harboring 3 Danish and 1 French laboratory.

2001-        Co-coordinator of “Tiny European RNA meetings (TERM)” network establishing yearly meetings on RNA research with high quality European laboratory participants.
