My research interests include: 

• The Funerary Archaeology of Early Medieval Northern Europe (4th-10th centuries CE).
• Late Antique trade and economics
• The Archaeology of Ivory and the Ivory Trade
• Global approaches to the past
• Historical ecology

Profil

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher on the Carlsberg Foundation funded project Milestone (PI Sarah Croix). My role involves charicterising the outward connections of Linholm Høje cemetey across six centuries, and contributing to new intepretaions of change at the site.

My PhD project ''The North Sea, the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean: Using ivory to reveal long-distance trade networks in the early medieval period'' explored ivories transfomation across three seas and its depostion in furnished graves of northwest Europe. 

I hold a BA (Hons) in Archaeology from the University of Newcastle and an MPhil in Medieval Archaeology from the University of Cambridge.
