Forskningsinteresser:

Jeg er generelt interesseret i spæd- og småbørns kognitive udvikling. Hidtil har jeg interesseret mig for spædbørns opfattelse af den fysiske verden, samt spædbørns begrebsdannelse. Især har jeg foretaget eksperimentelle undersøgelser af spædbørns objektindividuation - dvs. spædbørns evne til at holde rede på antallet af distinkte objekter i et givet scenario.

Pr. 1. januar 2010 blev Center for Selvbiografisk Hukommelsesforskning etableret. Der er tale om et grundforskningscenter, der ledes af prof. Dorthe Berntsen, og jeg indgår som et kernemedlem i dette center. I de kommende år vil jeg således hovedsageligt beskæftige mig med eksperimentelle undersøgelser af udviklingen af børns episodiske hukommelse, der kan anskues som forløbere for egentlig selvbiografisk hukommelse hos større børn og voksne. Her er jeg interesseret i emner som børns opfattelse og afgrænsning af 'begivenheder', og børns evne til at huske handlesekvenser (forsinket imitation), samt paradokset omkring barndomsamnesi.
