I am a PhD Fellow with a background in Comparative Literature (Aarhus University and Universidad de Granada, Spain). My project is a study on representations of ‘The New World’ in Spanish and English literature from approximately 1590-1642 with a focus on the ways in which ideas and consequences of empire were molded and negotiated by early modern authors.
I have a particular interest in gold, alchemy, and luxurious goods from the New World, as well as feelings of crisis in seventeenth century Spain and England.
I am an editor of the literary review Standart and occasionally contribute to the Danish magazine ATLAS.
