Metabolic changes by carbohydrate and protein quality in the development and mitigation of metabolic syndrome (MERITS)
During my PhD I will study the long-term effects of what is considered a high-risk and low-risk diets, as well as ad-libitum versur restricted feeding, on the metabolic and cellular changes during the development of obesity and MeS in Yucatan and Gottingen mini-pigs.
Main focus will be the use of non-targeted metabolomics using LC-MS/MS (liquid chromatography - mass spectometry)
