Profil

Throughout my career, I have been immersed in three academic contexts focusing on education: sports and physical education (1995-2012), medical and health professions education (2012-2020), and now higher education (2020 →). This professional journey gives me an ideal and agile grounding for undertaking and developing interdisciplinary research, teaching, supervision, and collaboration.

My passion is to explore and support educational development, context-specific learning processes and identities among teachers, students, and professionals in performance-oriented educational environments.

Currently, my research expertise revolves around situational and sociocultural aspects of teaching and learning in higher education. I am particularly engaged in exploring the processes of educational development and changing professional identities among teachers and supervisors.

So far, my portfolio includes approx. 60 international and national peer-reviewed papers and 21 contributions to books. I have supervised 13 PhD students and more than 20 master students and participated in 9 international PhD assessment committees.

In addition to research, I am a highly experienced educator with expertise in the areas of educational development processes, supervision, collegial sparring and mentoring, talent development, theories of teaching and learning, and qualitative research methods. Regularly, I run supervisor courses for PhD supervisors, teaching and learning courses for PhD students and assistant professors, as well as a variety of educational development workshops for experienced academics.
