Forskning

Mathieu Lamandé has a background in geology with a specialization in soil science. His research topic is the influence of agricultural practices on the physical functioning of soils. He started his career at INRAe in France, and he moved to Denmark to work for the Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences (DIAS) in Denmark, which became the Agroecology Department of Aarhus University. During his career, he developed qualifications around relationships between soil tillage, biological activity and physical soil functioning, and the quantification of soil structure. Since 2003, his research focuses mainly on the processes leading to soil compaction, both in relation to forestry and agriculture. He plays a main role in the development of the online decision support tool for prevention of soil compaction Terranimo® (https://www.terranimo.dk).
