Lasse  Blond



I am a PhD Fellow at the University of Aarhus studying the transfer of technology with a special interest in the transfer of social robots from Asia to Europe. The title of my project is “Travelling Technologies and Their Cultural Luggage” due to be completed in 2018. The purpose of this project is to study the integration of social robots in healthcare in Finland and Denmark with a specific focus on how this involved embedded cultural values characteristic of technology transfer. 


My research interest is Science and Technology Studies (STS) and I am affiliated with Centre for STS-studies at Aarhus University, the interdisciplinary research programme “Future Technology, Culture and Learning” at the Danish School of Education (DPU at Aarhus University) in Emdrup in addition to being a member of the research network for transdisciplinary studies in social robotics (TRANSOR) as well as the Society for History of Technology (SHOT).


I hold a master's degree in Science in Information Technology (MSc) from the University of Aarhus 2014, a master's degree in Journalism (MA) from the Southern University of Denmark (SDU) 2010 and a bachelor's degree in History (BA) from the Southern University of Denmark (SDU) 2006.
