The findings of the articles relating to mistrust included: 1) Identifying psychological mechanisms behind mistrust of climate science, 2) understanding sociocultural factors motivating mistrust of climate science, 3) improving science education, 4) improving communication between climate scientists and the public, and 5) facilitating greater public participation. The findings demonstrate the explanatory and normative thrust of broad academic engagement with the future collective concern of climate change, a topic that is often explored within STS research.",
