Jesper N. Wulff (JW) is an Associate Professor of Applied Statistics at the Department of Economics and Business Economics  (ECON), Aarhus University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Business with a specialization in Applied Econometrics (2015) and an MA in Business Administration (2011) both from Aarhus University. He also holds an MA (with distinction) in Social Science Data Analysis (2016) from the University of Essex. Previously, he has been a visiting scholar at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien and an exchange student at Freie Universität Berlin. At the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, he has received three best paper awards (2015, 2 x 2018), the Carlo Masini Award (2018), and been a finalist for several others. His teaching interests involve Bayesian Data Analysis and Data Mining for Business Decisions. For his teaching efforts, JW has been awarded the Aarhus BSS Lecturer of the Year Award (2018).  

JW’s research focuses on bridging the gap between statistics and science through the application of tools from econometrics and machine learning to problems in management, finance, and health. His current interests revolve around the application of fractional regression models, statistical myths about log-transformations, and the development of machine learning algorithms for organizational research and epidemiology. His research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals such as Organizational Research Methods, Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Organization, the Stata Journal, Public Administration Review, and Academy of Management Discoveries.
