MY RESEARCH
My research interests focus on the ecology and physiology of macroalgae and seagrasses, their adaptations to marine life, and their potential to respond to environmental conditions, including those driven by global change.
EXAMPLES OF RESEARCH PROJECTS
Examples of current research areas covers 1) productivity and population dynamics in arctic macroalgae to predict future fate and distribution limits in response to climate change 2) seagrass re-establishment with emphasis on abiotic and biotic processes affecting seed germination and dispersal.
IMPORTANT METHODS AND RESULTS
Field studies in combination with laboratory experiments ranging from the physiological response of individual organisms to ecosystem level response.
