2010 - Associate Professor, University of Aarhus.
Program coordinator for Diploma programme in Accounting (HD), teaching financial
accounting core subjects, like Financial Accounting and Financial Statement Analysis
at the undergraduate, diploma and master level courses. Research primarily on
corporate governance, disclosure and accounting information, and financial statement
analysis.

2008 - 2010 Finance Director, E.J. Badekabiner A/S.
Asked to help a privately owned contract manufacturing company that made
prefabricated bathrooms for the construction industry. The company had many
problems, which were indeed made worse by the financial crisis.

2006 - 2008 Associate Professor, Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University.
Program coordinator for MSc. in Accounting and Auditing (cand.merc.aud.) teaching
financial accounting core subjects, like Accounting Theory and accounting regulation,
i.e. IFRS and Danish GAAP. Research primarily on corporate governance, disclosure
and accounting information, and earnings management.

2004 - 2006 Assistant Professor, Aarhus School of Business.
Teaching assignments in core subjects like Financial Accounting, and focus on
research in earnings management and accounting information.

2002 - 2004 Assistant Professor, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Kolding.
Teaching assignments in business economics, management accounting, bookkeeping
and IT. Completed internal university postgraduate teacher training program
(pædagogikum). Research primarily in earnings management and valuation.

2001 – 2002 Finance Manager / Director MacArtney Underwater Technology A/S.
Family-owned sales and project business contracting company, which is leading in his
specialty, and pursues a global mission through numerous subsidiaries, agencies and
product agreements. Implemented opening the use of the internet, focused cash
management in conjunction with project management, project costing and project
management, purchase of company in Scotland, and start-up of a subsidiary in
Holland, and also had responsibility for the financial management.

1998 – 2001 Managing Director Toledo Springs (Toledo Fjederindlæg A/S).
General Manager of the branch. Responsibility for the optimization of production
processes, development and implementation of the ISO9001 certification, and
specifically the development of some customized products (to BtB market), and in
general duties of operational nature. After the company had got a new owner, the new
board decided to gradually centralize the strategic activities in the U.S.

1996 – 1998 Finance Director, Toledo Springs.
Responsible for the financial management (and implementation of a new computer
system) at the troubled subsidiary in Coburg, Germany, and overall responsibility for
the order processing, factory layout and strategic planning / coordination of customers
and products, since this was centralized in Denmark, with production and deliveries
from both plants, and the daily financial management tasks in the Danish company.

1994 – 1996 Deputy head and Chief Financial Officer, Toledo Springs.
Responsibility for initiatives and framework in relation to sales pricing, markets,
strategic planning and implementation, and corresponding calculations (ABC). And
the daily financial management tasks.

1991 – 1994 Chief Financial Officer, Toledo Springs.
Responsibility for economic optimization, and construction and implementation of
reporting system linked to the application of new computer system including data
collection in the plant, as well as major analyses of the acquisition of activities from a
Czech post-communist state-owned enterprise. And the daily financial management
tasks.

1988 – 1995 Teaching and Research Fellow (kandidatstipendiat), Southern Danish Business School (now part of SDU), Esbjerg.
During the first 3 years I made my Ph.D. dissertation (1991). The last years teaching
as lecturer attached Diploma in Accounting, giving profound insights into ABC.

1989 – 1990 Chief Financial Officer Lillnord A/S.
Part-time job (consultant) responsible for the financial management, including
separation of the company's management accounting and construction of bookkeeping
and accounting as well as budgetary reporting follow-up in German subsidiary
established at the end of 1988.

1985 – 1988 Financial Controller, Lillnord A/S.
Traditional tasks in smaller (about 50 employed) exporting company producing
bakery machines on contract manufacturing basis, including establishment of
reporting- and costing systems.

1984 – 1985 Special consultant - software and development, Aarhus School of Business.
Project management of software development projects (about 25 part-time student
assistants) as well as coordinator and sparring partner for researchers concerning
concrete IT usage – the standard PC emerged in these years.

1982 – 1984 Student Assistant, Aarhus School of Business.
Employed at the school's computer centre - programming tasks, including a system for
simulation of replacement cost based accounting and several guidance tasks.

2007 Our article “Hvordan værdiansættes unoterede virksomheder i praksis?” in the
Danish journal Ledelse & Erhvervsøkonomi was nominated for “best article of the
year” 2006.
