Education

2013-2016: PhD in Rearing effects on welfare and cognition in laying hens. Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Oslo – Norway. PhD thesis entitled “Early environmental effects on laying hen development” defended in October 2016.

2011-2012: Master of Science in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare. University of Edinburgh - UK. My thesis research, marked First Class Honours (I), was on the hypothermic abilities of migratory garden warblers (Sylvia borin) and other passerines at the ornithological research station at Ponza Island, off the coast of Rome, Italy.

2008- 2011: Bachelor in Arts in Zoology. Trinity College Dublin - Ireland. The four years course awarded me a Second Class; First Division honours mark (II.1). Bachelor thesis entitled “Family structure as a factor of habitat switching by Brent Geese (Branta bernicla hrota) in Dublin bay wintering grounds.”
