Personlig profil

Forskning

The main goal of my research is to bridge the gap between diverse mental health outcomes and their underlying biological mechanisms. I work on developing and applying statistical methods to help understand the relationship between blood biomarker levels and a broad range of adverse mental health outcomes like schizophrenia or treatment resistant depression, contributing towards personalising psychiatric diagnoses and treatment.

Profil

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at NCRR, currently based at the Big Data Institute at the University of Oxford, UK. My research focusses on leveraging large-scale, multimodal datasets to better understand psychiatric disorders. I hold a MSc degree in Bioinformatics and a PhD in Statistical Genetics, both from Aarhus University. I have experience in statistical method development, specifically polygenic prediction models.

I am currently funded by a Lundbeck Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship.

Undervisning

I have experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and have organized and taught specialised workshops for researchers. I also regularly provide advice and guidance on how to conduct genetic analyses in the context of epidemiological research.
