Research interests:

Petrology, geochemistry, chronology, ores, geodynamics and environmental effects of volcanoes, large igneous provinces, and layered mafic intrusions.

Field work: North Greenland (2008, 2006); Iceland (2011, 2010, 2009, 2004, 2003); East Greenland (2011, 2008, 2000, 1999, 1995, 1994, 1992, 1989); Norwegian mafic intrusions (1992, 1993, 1996-98, 2000–2003, 2005, 2007); Bushveld Complex, South Africa (2012, 1988, 1993,1992); West Greenland (1999). Ocean Drilling: Shipboard Scientist, Ocean Drilling Program Leg 163 to SE Greenland (1995); Danish Lithosphere Centres Cruises to SE Greenland (1998, Shipboard Scientist; 1999, Onshore scientist).

Funding mainly from the Danish National Science Research Council (Forskningsrådet for Natur og Univers), the Carlsberg Foundation, and Aarhus University Research Foundation.
