Profil

Christian received a MSc degree (Electrical and Computer Engineering), a MSc degree (Mathematics and Computer Science), and a PhD degree (Speech Signal Processing) from Aalborg University, Denmark. Currently, he is with the Section of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Department of Engineering, Aarhus University. At this section, he has co-founded the Signal Processing and Distributed Computing Research Group including a laboratory with equipment for a broad range of experimental studies. Christian teaches and supervises at BSc, MSc, and PhD levels, he has co-organized conferences, workshops and summer schools, he has authored more than 60 scientific publications including a patent with Fraunhofer, and he has participated in more than 10 national and international research projects. Christian has been a visiting scholar at: i) Aalto University Helsinki, ii) Imperial College London, iii) Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and iv) University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He is an IEEE Senior Member and vice-chairing the External Engineering Examiners in Denmark at BSc/MSc levels in accordance with the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. Christian’s research interests include signal processing, distributed computing and statistical learning. Applications focus on systems to process multimedia or biomedical signals/data.
